The Walking Dead Video Game - Telltale Games

With an extremely well told story, unique character designs, good music, great voice acting and a load of decisions to be made, Telltale Games have made one incredible game.

It is a point and click style game, but you get to roam around with the analogue too exploring the areas and finding objects. The whole game is set in the states based around Lee Everett, 37 year old university teacher on his way to jail, and an 8 year old girl Clementine in search of her parents.

Told in 5 game episodes, roughly 2-3 hours each on PS3, 360 and Steam, you can buy each one separately or go for the season pass (Including all 5 at a discounted price) which is a great deal. The Walking Dead interests you in it's first episode with a taster of what the game plays like and what you'd want to expect from an amazing game. By the end of episode 1 or during episode 2 you will be hooked. You'll be confidently in charge of a group, caring for Clementine while you look for her parents, making big decisions and knocking in zombies brains on the way! There's so much to do and a perfect amount of action-story ratio that this is one 'must play' you'll have to experience.

Pros:
  • Great value for money.
  • You get hooked. Gripping story.
  • Cringing action sequences (Trust me, in a zombie apocalypse game, it needs this.)
  • Decisions you make actually count.
  • Realistic events.
  • Decent character designs. Some you want to hug, some you like, the rest you want to punch.
  • Great music. A bit emotional though.
Cons:
  • Menu's a bit glitchy. The game's only downfall, and even this doesn't happen to everyone. When we want to load up the next episode, it loads the first again so we have to copy to another save slot, delete the last then continue.

My Rating:
9.7/10
